What this about? This is the first Annual NYC Bridge Challenge. Team Men of Elegance will race against Team Ladies of Elegance across 6 NYC Bridges (12.1 miles) to fundraise for a world changing effort: Liter of Light.
Why? The folks of Team Men of Elegance and Team Ladies of Elegance would like to support a cause that is empowering, innovative and world changing. All funds raised will go directly to Liter of Light and will help pay for solar powered light installation in flood prone and affected areas both in the Philippines and abroad ($10 for solar rechargeable night lights).
How to support? Please donate to for our cause through our donation buttons on the main page, NYC Bridge Challenge. $5, $10, $20 – every little bit helps. Event rules and details:
- Race will begin at 7:30am on Saturday September 15th, 2012
- Team Ladies of Elegance will be given a 30 minute head start
- Each team must have 4 runners running across each bridge
- Whichever team crosses the finish line at the final bridge (Triborough Bridge) first wins the race.
- Race Winning Team: gets all expense paid dinner to restaurant of choice in NYC (Paid by losing team).
- Fundraising Team Winner: gets 3 course meal at Wo Hop Restaurant in NYC (Paid by losing team)
